    Cheese Market

    From March through September, Alkmaar's iconic Cheese Market takes place every Friday morning at Waagplein. There you will experience a centuries-old tradition dating back to 1593. In July and August, there are also evening cheese markets on Tuesday evenings.

    Architecture

    Alkmaar has a historic center with nearly 400 national monuments and a wealth of medieval buildings. The most famous sights are the Waaggebouw & Waagtoren, the Grote or Sint-Laurenskerk and the Accijnstoren.

    Museums

    Alkmaar offers a variety of museums ranging from local history to craft traditions. Top museums include the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, the Hollands Kaasmuseum, the Beatles Museum and Nationaal Biermuseum De Boom.

    Stores

    You can do excellent shopping in the city center and various shopping centers in Alkmaar. The larger chain stores and nice boutiques can be found mainly in the city center. Some other shopping centers are De Mare, Ringers Shopping Center and De Hoef.

What is the easiest way to get to Alkmaar from your vacation park?

Alkmaar is easy to reach from our vacation park in several ways. It takes fifteen minutes to drive from our park to the city center, where you can park in several parking garages. It is also possible to rent a bike at our park, with which you can cycle to the city in about 45 minutes. It is also an option to travel by bus from West Graftdijk to Alkmaar Station.

What is there to do at your vacation park near Alkmaar?
